LONO: Letter of Non-Objection for food plants

Remove gross filth and heavy soil deposits. A pre-cleaning step is required and recommended for heavy soiled areas.
DISINFECTION: Use 50 ml of GERMALIN CLEANER DEGREASER DISINFECTANT per litre of water. Apply solution with mop, cloth, sponge or hand pump trigger sprayer in order to wet thoroughly. Allow to remain wet for 10 minutes and then let air dry. At 50 ml per litre dilution GERMALIN CLEANER DEGREASER DISINFECTANT demonstrates bactericidal and fungicidal activities against Salmonella choleraesuis, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and pathogenic fungi, Trichophyton mentagrophytes.
TOILET BOWLS: To disinfect toilet bowls, flush toilet, add 175 ml of GERMALIN CLEANER DEGREASER DISINFECTANT directly to the bowl water. Swab the bowl completely using scrub brush or toilet mop, making sure to get under the rim. Let stand for 10 minutes and flush. For heavily soiled areas, a pre-cleaning step is required and recommended. Prepare a fresh solution for each use.
MILDEWSTAT: To control mold and mildew on hard non-porous surfaces such as floors, walls, table tops, add 25 ml of GERMALIN CLEANER DEGREASER DISINFECTANT per litre of water. Apply solution with a cloth, mop, or sponge making sure to wet all surfaces completely. Let air dry. Prepare a fresh solution for each use. Repeat application at weekly intervals or when mildew growth reappears.
DISINFECTION OF POULTRY EQUIPMENT: For disinfection of pre-cleaned poultry equipment (brooders, watering founts, feeding equipment), apply a solution of 50 ml of GERMALIN CLEANER DEGREASER DISINFECTANT per litre of water. Remove all poultry and feeds from premises, trucks, coops and crates. Remove all litter and droppings from floors, walls and surfaces of facilities occupied or transversed by poultry. Empty all troughs, racks and other feeding and watering appliances. Thoroughly clean all surfaces with soap or detergent and rinse with water. Saturate the surfaces with the disinfecting solution for 10 minutes. Ventilate building, coops and other closed spaces. Do not house poultry or employ equipment until treatment has been absorbed, set or dried. All treated equipment must be rinsed with potable water before reuse.
DISINFECTION OF ANIMAL QUARTERS AND KENNELS: GERMALIN CLEANER DEGREASER DISINFECTANT is effective against Canine Parvovirus. For disinfection of pre-cleaned animal quarters and kennels, apply a solution of 150 ml of this product per litre of water. Remove all animals and feeds from premises, trucks and crates. Remove all litter and droppings from floors, walls and surfaces of facilities occupied or transversed by animals. Empty all troughs, racks and other feeding and watering appliances. Thoroughly clean all surfaces with soap or detergent and rinse with water. Saturate the surfaces with the disinfecting solution for 10 minutes. Ventilate building and other closed spaces. Do not house animals or employ equipment until treatment has been absorbed set or dried. All treated equipment must be rinsed with potable water before reuse.
SANITIZING: To sanitize previously cleaned and rinsed non-porous food contact surfaces, prepare 200 ppm active quaternary solution by adding 13 ml of GERMALIN CLEANER DEGREASER DISINFECTANT per litre of water. To sanitize items such as tanks, chopping blocks or countertops, flood the area with 200 ppm active quaternary solution or apply with a cloth or sponge making sure to wet all surfaces completely for at least 1 minute. Let air dry. To sanitize items such as glasses or ustensils, immerse completely in 200 ppm active quaternary solution for at least 1 minute. Remove and let dry. Prepare a fresh solution daily or more frequently, if necessary. GERMALIN CLEANER DEGREASER DISINFECTANT is an effective sanitizer when diluted in water up to 500 ppm hardness (CaCO3).
PRECAUTIONS FOR FOOD PLANTS: Equipment and surfaces subjected to direct food contact must be thoroughly rinsed with potable water after cleaning with the disinfecting solution. Avoid contamination of food during use. Do not store in food processing or food storage area.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage and disposal. Store in a dry place no lower in temperature than 10°C or higher than 50°C. Rinse the emptied container thoroughly. Make the empty container unsuitable for further use. Dispose of the container in accordance with provincial requirements.
