Suitable for use on all hard, non-porous surfaces where microorganisms or odours are a concern. Heavily soiled surfaces require a pre-cleaning.
To Disinfect
Thoroughly wet the surface with the product. Can be applied by cloth, sponge, brush, or sprayer (spot test to check compatibility with the surface). All hard surfaces must be wet thoroughly, and remain wet for at least 10 minutes and allowed to air dry. On food contact surfaces, a rinse with potable water is required.

Apply the product to the soiled surface and wipe clean. To remove heavy soil, allow product to stand for a few minutes.
To Clean & Deodourize Carpet/Fabrics
Concrobium Broad Spectrum Disinfectant II can be used on most fabrics that can be cleaned with water-based cleaners. Not for use on wool, silk, or suede. Always test for colour fastness and material compatibility on an inconspicuous area prior to use. Apply by sprayer, to ensure even coverage. What is the required contact time for Concrobium Broad Spectrum Disinfectant?
Compared to some botanical disinfectants, which require up to 10 minutes to deliver antimicrobial efficacy, Concrobium Broad Spectrum Disinfectant offers the following contact time profiles:
• Sanitizer (30 seconds)
• Viruses (1 minute)
• Bacteria (2 minutes)
Is Concrobium Broad Spectrum Disinfectant also a ‘cleaner’?
Yes, unlike other botanical disinfectants, Concrobium Broad Spectrum offers 1-step disinfection and cleaning. A single product can be used to clean and disinfectant, with no sticky residue
Is Concrobium Broad Spectrum Disinfectant a true “botanical” disinfectant?
Yes, the product is made from a proprietary blend of plant extracts and essential oils. Its principal disinfecting ingredient is thyme oil.
Is the thyme oil present in the product a ‘naturally’ or ‘synthetically’ derived ingredient?
The thyme oil in Concrobium Broad Spectrum Disinfectant is synthetic, which provides several advantages compared with naturally-harvested thyme oil. The synthetic thyme molecule is identical to its natural counterpart, but delivers greater product and performance consistency (not subject to variable crop yields) and generates less CO2 during production (doesn’t require harvesting and shipping).
Does Concrobium Broad Spectrum Disinfectant contain harsh solvents?
No. The product does contain a solvent to emulsify the oils, but it is not harsh and is present in a very low concentration – less than 1% of the solution. This compares with traditional botanical disinfectants on the market which contain 2-3% solvent and which feature compounds like ethanol (a VOC) and other agents such as Copper Sulfate (highly toxic). Concrobium Broad Spectrum Disinfectant has the lowest rated toxicity rating (Category lV) from the EPA and contains no ammonia, chlorine, alcohols, oxidizers, dyes or fragrances.
Does a surface require a rinse after using Concrobium Broad Spectrum Disinfectant?
Unlike first-generation botanical disinfectants, this product does not leave surfaces feeling ‘sticky’ or ‘tacky’ after application. A rinse is not required.
Some botanical disinfectant products require that the surface be pre-cleaned prior to disinfection. Is this the case with Concrobium Broad Spectrum Disinfectant?
No. This product is a 1-step cleaner and disinfectant that does not require the extra time and labor associated with surface pre-cleaning.
This product is approved by Health Canada and has been assigned a drug identification number (DIN: 02402351) under the Food and Drugs Act. This product has also been certified by the US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). Both agencies registered Concrobium™ disinfectant as bactericide, fungicide and to some extent, virucide.
This disinfectant is usually used when renovating after water damage due to water infiltration, sewer backup or flooding. Concrobium™ disinfectant is ideal for the restoration professionals, be they specialized in mold remediation or disaster recovery clean-up. This product is usually the second step to mold remediation, after the clean-up and stain removing on affected non-porous materials. It has been designed to disinfect while reducing the carbon footprint.
Although effective for decontamination work, the manufacturer recommends this product for daily tasks in hospitals, schools, ambulances, food processing plants, public spaces, agricultural operations and long-term care homes.
Concrobium™ disinfectant includes essential oils and active synthetic plant extracts such as thyme oil, which leave a fresh smell after use. This disinfectant is not harmful to humans nor animals. It requires no protective equipment to be handled.
Dilution:
No dilution is required, the Concrobium™ disinfectant has been designed as a ready-made product.
Coverage:

Its innovative formula has been designed to remove odors and mold on non-porous materials (plastic, metal). Simply apply on the surface to be disinfected. No need to rinse or wipe, as this product leaves no residue.
Disinfection time and efficiency:
The manufacturer asserts that his product disinfects in generally 30 seconds.
Against viruses: This product inactivates in one minute the Influenza A (H1N1) virus, the HIV-1 virus, as well as some strains of human coronavirus (excluding SARS) that cause the common cold, respiratory disease and viral gastroenteritis.
Against bacteria: This product disinfects in 2 minutes with an efficiency of 99.99% bacteria such as:
Staphylococcus aureus (causes skin infections and toxic shock syndrome)
Salmonella enterica (causes typhoid fever and salmonellosis)
